Shopwell is a mobile app and platform designed to help users understand what’s in their food. Originally just for allergies, Shopwell has evolved to offer every shopper personalized nutrition based on their diet, allergies, health concerns, likes, and dislikes. Hipmunk is a travel booking website and app designed to take the agony out of planning travel. Letter Kay used Hipmunk's existing chipmunk mascot as the starting point to craft Hipmunk's playful brand.
Hipmunk needed to differentiate itself in the very busy travel industry. The solution was to create a unique UI for the product and craft a message around alleviating agony. Hello Hipmunk is a collection of bots designed to let Hipmunk do your searching for you. Hello Calendar, for example, syncs with your Google Calendar to notify you to book your travel based on the events on your calendar. I worked with Je Joue to communicate its message of sex positive across its website, social posts, and in-store materials. Je Joue needed it website to sell its products and inform the public about its message that pleasure should be apart of everyone's life.
The design process began with first analyzing Je Joue's existing site, which was difficult to navigate and didn't feature the products well. The site needed to be tasteful and emphasize the company's sex positive message of empowerment. The toy picker section was created to respond to feedback that people often need guidance when picking out a toy. The toy pickers walks people through the process and gives people the guidance that they might get in store.

I worked with Location Labs to help communicate the wide variety of rather technical apps that they offer. The process began with analyzing the company's existing site to better understand how to restructure the site to create a clearer message about their product offerings. The design process began with wireframes and creating three very different directions for the visual design. The app screenshots were then edited to simply the screens and better tell the story of Location Labs. Employees of Location Labs were cast as hand models and the company's professional coffee makers were put to good use create props for the scenes.

Trainline is travel company selling train tickets in the UK and Europe. Trainline's website is the one of the largest e-commerce sites in the UK, and has 5.5 million active customers generating 27 million visits per month.
Letter Kay worked with Trainline to develop its brand and illustration style across its marketing materials. Trainline had just begun its expansion into Europe from the UK, so the design needed to appeal to French, German, and Italian audiences.
The design process began with investigating its current brand across both product and marketing, and researching both competition and travel trends. After consumer research was also conducted to understand the Trainline customer, the brand words for the company were established. Using these, Letter Kay created an illustration style for Trainline and developed marketing materials that could be used in its style guide.
